Reserving Court Time
Court time may be reserved by any Club member up to eight (8) days in advance by clicking HERE
New players must first register at "Reserve My Court." First click on Login at the top of the page, then "Create an account" choose Isles Yacht Club as the facility. Contact the office or RMC Coordinator Reg Brooks if you need any assistance.
If you are unable to use the court you reserved, please cancel your reservation.
Ball Machine
The ball machine can be reserved through Reserve My Court by checking the box for “Ball Machine” under “Amenities” in the Reservation Setup Wizard after selecting your court. Note that the machine can only be used on Court 4.
The machine can be plugged into an outlet at the south end of Court 4 facing the marina. Due to the length of the cord, the machine should be placed approximately 4 feet behind the middle marker on the service line with the handles and controls facing the marina. The on-off switch is on the right side of the machine facing the court. If you want to use the machine and don’t know how, ask someone who does, and they can help you.
The ball machine cannot be used in the rain or when the courts or tennis balls are wet.
Court Cleaning
After every use, players should groom the courts by sweeping with the drag mats. To the extent possible, please sweep lengthwise along the side, base, and service lines.
Feel free to sweep the court with your own unique pattern. The random patterns will help keep the Har-Tru evenly distributed and minimize disturbing the tapes. Be sure to groom the whole court right out to the fences to bring the Har-Tru back on the courts as rain and improper grooming tend to push the Har-Tru to the sides and off the playing area.
Additionally, the first users of a court each day should drag the court before use with the wire brush to remove mildew and agitate the surface.
Court Maintenance
The courts will be in heavy use through the season and that makes court maintenance a challenge. If you observe any safety issue, such as "raised" tapes, please report the problem to either the Dockmaster or the front office.
Court Hours
Tennis Courts open at 7:30 a.m. from May to September and 8:00 a.m. from October to April.
Night Play
Please turn the lights on and off when playing at night.
