LOG Article
The Isle-ettes met January 9, with 53 members in attendance. We all enjoyed listening to Dr. Kristen Flaherty talk to us about skin care. She has developed her own line of products which is sold to skin care providers and doctors. She talked to us about how we "aging beauties" should take care of and preserve our skin. She stressed that hydrating ourselves was the best thing we could do for our faces. Unfortunately, she mentioned that we can't do it with wine!! She also gave out some samples which were immediately scooped up.

Our next meeting on February 13 will feature Carolyn Gullick. Carolyn previously worked at Pies and Plates in Punta Gorda. She will be showing us the art of candy making and hopefully she will be giving out samples too! It should be lots of fun and maybe we will all be inspired to make candy ourselves. I figure all our husbands would love it if we would, but most likely there is not anyone of us who should be eating too much of it. But isn't a little bit of chocolate good for us???

The Isle-ettes Parking Lot Party and Classy Car Show will be held on Thursday, March 1 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Food stations and DJ entertainment by Sound Station. If you own a classic car, muscle car, antique or unusual fun car, or even a motorcycle you drive every day, you are welcome to include your vehicle in this event. This is fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and we hope to see you all there!

Our Change of Watch will be March 13. It will be a little different this year as we will be having a program after the Change of Watch. So, come have lunch with the ladies, you may make a new friend and learn something at the same time. We all need "girlfriends".
